*This is not our entire list of forms that we charge for, but is a quick list intended to give you a rough idea of where you might be pricing wise.
Additional forms can include anything from itemizing or additional deductions, self-employment, rentals, claiming credits, claiming dependents and more. The more complex your tax situation is, or the more credits you claim (Earned Income, Child Tax Credit, etc.), typically your price goes up because of the additional work/forms needed and due diligence required on our end to verify & document that you are eligible for those credits.
Most of our customers have had fairly steady pricing over the years, as we only raise our base filing fee 3-5% each year to help cover increasing costs of doing business.
As your needs change, your pricing changes. For example, if you have stock sales we need to report one year, and none the next, you may see a decrease on your final bill if less forms are being filed. We want you to know that you're paying for real work and forms provided...not an inflated flat rate that doesn't change when your situation changes.
Please note that we do occasionally adjust the pricing of forms based on their complexity with the current tax laws.
